What drop rate nerf?
I have never noticed a difference in the drop rate. For example, I was walking around fighting stuff in Old Ascalon the other day, I killed ever monster on the map and got 3-4 purple items.
I consider that pretty good for an area that a level 5 can hunt with relative ease.
I was on my level 10 doing a quest in Iron Mines of Moldane and I got two purple armors and, I think 2 purple weapons in that one mission.
Another time I was doing the bonus for Ring of Fire and in the first 10 minutes we got two purple armors, one black dye and a purple weapon.
In all honesty, I've only ever gotten 4 gold items and one or two black dye before. I did, however pick up a stormbow in Fissure of Woe that I sold for 30k. I have more than I'll ever need, money that I plan on using to buy armor for my next character after I beat the game and cap enough skills with my current level 14.
Where is this "Drop Nerf" happening? Does anyone else NOT see that it's there? Becuase I don't.

I have noticed the same thing, Sagius. Earlier today when I went out of Iron Hammer on the attribute points quest, I picked up 7 blues, 2 purples and 1 gold. I was stunned.
And I thought my ranger's finds last night (5 blues, 1 purple) was an annomaly.

the drop nerfs are happening on the spots that people can actually go solo( no players, no henchies)... where from one mob of monsters, you get 4+ gold items, etc sup runes, for doing about 5-10 minutes of work. thats farming. when you said you got purple items in ring of fire, it doesnt matter since the loot was split amounst 8 people. and those missions are too hard anyway to do solo (atleast not yet).

While I was hunting for elites on Perdition Rock, I picked up 2 golds, 2 purples, and a boatload of random junk... not to mention a spiffy max damage Fellblade. Considering I had a full boat of henchmen with me, that was a VERY prosperous day for me. I think my drops have actually improved over the last week or so.

There is no nerfing unless you keep rezoning the same area.
Example: UW smite runners cry about nerfing because they keep coming back down there runs after runs.

I spent some time in UW last night.... I think I got 1 or 2 (white) staves/wands and a couple remnants (this wasn't multiple trips -- we just had a good long run). In fact, I don't think there were all that many drops across the group as a whole... it barely covered the 1k to get in..

It may be your first trip. But for others in your party, it wasn't. In a party, quality of drops is determined by ______________________.

I never farm for an extended period of time (especially not in one place), and the drops are still looking pretty damn good to me
Usually when people cry nerf, they are either: A) zoning in and out of the same area for a long time, or, B) not understanding the amount of loot varies

I keeped Old Ascalon purple drops for a time for the comedy factor, nothing like seeing a non maxed purple item with no mods ... I had better drops from Pre-Searing Charr.
True, they added more purple and gold items to early areas but they tend to be so awful and worthless they could very well be white items, only exception would be armor drops since you get a rune.

If you ask my opinion, it has been quite good for drops the last day or so.
I was hunting at [removed] and got a very nice gold air wand with +5 enegy while enchanted and a purple dye. On the very next group of enemies i got a max gold battlepick and a max purple air staff. Not bad eh?
The zone before that, i got a gold fiery dragon sword (1 off max) which i gave to someone in exchange for a shocking bowstring.
In fact, today i have had over 20 gold items, a good proportion of them maxed and countless max purple items and dyes.
I'm the guy who sells items at just double what the trader would pay! If you miss me in the trade channel, then you're out of luck!
If i don't want it and can't sell it within 60 seconds...it's back in circulation.
How many max gold items do i salvage in a week? Probably dozens, lol.
I originally had trouble with the loot nerf. It did happen and i'm sure many people are having trouble getting 2gp to rub together but i just changed strategy.
I have even collected enough data in my head to figure out how the loot table works...well, at least a hypothesis anyway. It seems to work for me.
What drop rate nerf?

Yeah, I got a max, purple Battlepick with some pretty nice stats on it while in Kryta of all places.
I like to think the secret about money anywhere is not to worry too much about it.. You'll live

Mm, I have found several (low level) gold items lately too. I just give them away though. I can't use them.

They changed the re-zoning thing so that it only kicks in in extreme cases, rather than the 3 or so it did beforehand. That was also listed to be an unintentional side effect.

All I have to do is leave for a while and play some old missions again(for fun not farm) and I get all kinds of goodies...

Yeah. Quality of drops from later missions has always been good. If I were to rank the quality of rares, it would be as follows:
#1) HoH rares
#2) Later missions (including FoW and UW)
#3) Griffins (lots of rares but most are worthless)

the bot protection doesnt come up if your in a group, i have noticed an increase of drops, not a nerf. I have never had a full mission past borlis in which at least 2 rares have not dropped.

I only noticed a nerf in drops shortly after they fixed their no drop mistake. But since then, I haven't noticed any nerfing aside from the auto-nerf.
